Royal Greenhouses of Laeken are open to the public for only three weeks a year and I happened to visit Brussels during this short timeframe. When we got there around 10 o’clock, we realized that we really weren’t the only ones, who wanted to visit them. 😀
So we went to stand at the end of the line and it took us about an hour to get in. The entrance costs 2,50€ and you need to go through security check. The wait felt long because there is really nothing to do. I have no idea how all the families with small kids managed to keep their kids entertained. The greenhouses were worth the wait though. It’s a pity that they are open for public only for three weeks in a year, but I guess that’s monarchy for you.
Here are some pictures from the greenhouses and the surrounding grounds.
